Our client is seeking operators for contract positions in Northern Alberta.

Commissioning and Start Up Operator – CBM JOB #1027

Duties will include (but will not be limited to) the following:
· Drafting operating procedures
· Establishing systems and system acceptance criteria
· Participating in walkdowns
· Punchlisting and deficiency categorization
· Participating in pre start up commissioning activities
· Issuing safe work permits
· Gas testing
· Participating in start up activities
· Other duties as requested
·
Skills Required:
· Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering certificate, 3rd Class is preferred
· Minimum 10 years operations experience
· Knowledge of MS Office computer software
· Previous commissioning and start up experience is a requirement
· Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces
· Must be a self starter
· Is a team player
· Must have flexibility in scheduling as shift work is a possibility

Depending on the successful candidate’s background, additional courses or training may be required prior to arrival on site.

· Air transportation is provided from site to the designated hubs of Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon.
· Work Schedule: 7 days on and 7 days off or 14 days on 14 days off.

C&SU LEAD OPERATOR – CBM JOB #1043

General Accountability

The C&SU Lead works in accordance with all rules, standards, work practices and procedures to provide safe, reliable and efficient Commissioning of Plant and ensure the plant is commissioned and started up in a manner consistent to allow maximum plant throughput with no significant plant violations.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Supervisory experience is required.
· The ideal candidate should have +5 years Commissioning and Start-up experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Operating Steam Assisted Gravitational Drainage (SAGD) complex will be an advantage.
· Must have either Oil or Water/Steam process experience.
· Knowledge of the following processes is an advantage: Cogeneration, Water Treatment, Steam Generation, De-oiling and Treating, Oil Diluents Stripping, Pads and Gathering, U&O.
· Applicants must hold a minimum of a valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate of Competency.
· Preference will be given to 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate of Competency
· Control room operating experience with Distributed Control Systems would be an asset
· Permit writing experience is an asset.

Specific role Expectations, accountabilities and Responsibilities:

· Execute daily commissioning activities to the C&SU crew as per team direction.
· Ensure C&SU activities are permitted and follow the guidelines of the safe work permit procedure.
· Ensure C&SU team understand and follow the site lockout procedure.
· Ensure risk reviews meetings are held for all critical tasks.
· Provide leadership to C&SU techs in the field during commission & startup activities.
· Participate in system walk downs prior to turnover.
· Track and sign off turnover deficiencies as required.
· Lead and participate in the development and review of pre-commissioning/commissioning and start-up procedures.
· Ensure risks and safety is at acceptable levels in operating areas for all personal entering operating areas.
· Effective communication of risks and opportunities with C&SU coordinator.
· C&SU techs are enabled to execute, and safely manage their work, assets and areas.
· Work with construction to ensure C&SU goals, objectives and targets are achieved
· Work closely to support vendors with startup of equipment.

Performs basic troubleshooting and initiates repairs or requests for repairs when required
Assists in preparation of equipment for maintenance
Performs housekeeping duties and operational maintenance as required


MECHANICAL COORDINATOR – CBM JOB #1045

The Mechanical Coordinator will ensure that high standards of workmanship and productivity are maintained. This will include ensuring that safety procedures and requirements are strictly adhered to and enforced, relative codes standards and specifications are adhered to, and that proposed schedules are meet.

Qualifications and Requirements

· The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of Commissioning and Startup experience.
· Millwright Inter-Provincial Red Seal trade certification required
· Will possess knowledge of plant rotating equipment including: compressors, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, steam turbines, generators, motors, fans, blowers and hydraulic pumps and also knowledge of plant static equipment including but not limited to: Vessels, Exchangers, PSV’s, Valves, Piping.
· Familiar with international standards ANSI, ASME and API would be a definite asset
· Supervisory experience is required and you must hold a valid Class ‘5’ driver’s license.
· Maintenance background would be a definite asset.
· Good knowledge of equipment installation practices at a Construction level
· Demonstrate the ability to lead a crew of workers to ensure task are completed as per schedules
· Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and C&SU team in a professional manner.
· Good computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications)
· Good knowledge of interpreting equipment and system drawings
